You said he was 3 in 1901, which doesn’t fit with birth in 1888, and not found in 1911, but you’ve posted his name for 1911. I’m puzzled.........

I don't have fold 3 but there is a record for a William Charles Clarke in the Middlesex Regt. and a possible death in 1927.

Edit: It is possible that he was in an Army hospital ( Barnsbury) in 1911

Looking for information on William C Clarke born 1888 in Shoreditch London he was one of 11 children. I know all about his siblings but nothing about him. He had 2 younger brothers who died in WW1 but can find no info that William went to war! I see him on the 1901 census aged 3 but can't find him on the 1911 census
