Find Ancestors

Am looking for the parents really name of Blagg and Pyzer, they had 2 Blagg children born in 1938 and 1942 so not expecting to find them, but been searching for a marriage for their parents so wondered if some-one could trace them on the 1939 register. The children were both registered in Retford, Nottinghamshire. Thank-you.

No England/Wales marriage to fit so either not married, not married England/Wales or she had been married before.

Try working through the marriages of a female Pyzer to a male and then use her married surname to look for a marriage to Blagg

Hi greyghost, will give it a go, but Mothers name was Pyzer on one and Pyser on the other, didn't know they would use their original maiden name.

freebmd has both the 1935 and 1938 maiden names as PyZer. also same on FMP and Ancestry.

EDIT - Blagg/Pyser 1942

It is always meant to reflect the maiden name of the Mother not a previous married name.

Or buy a birth certificate which will give you the answer.

Unless any of the children have died they won't show on the 1939 register as they will still be redacted (100 year rule). The register stopped being updated around 1990 - there are alterations on it up until then,. Various sites are trying to match subsequent marriages and deaths to allow more names to show.
