Hello
I am looking to trace relatives of of mums family the BIRKS mainly located in the Longton/Fenton/Hanley area of Stoke on Trent.
My mums name is Marilyn Heather Birks in 1936.
Father : Harold Walker
Mother: Mary Birks ( Parkes) born in 1896/97.

If any of these names sounds familiar I would love to hear from you.

As I said on your other thread, look at Search members trees for the name and use freebmd to find siblings of both your mother and grandparents. You can also use it to find the births of your grandparents.

'A' Mary Birks married Harold Walker in 1920

The 1936 birth was registered as Birks/Birks

Why would she be registered as Birks mmn Birks with no ref to fathers name

Plus if mum was nee Parkes that would be mmn not Birks

Ahhh so Mary mmn was Parkes

Think you have mixed up different Birk families

Some of the info you have linked together just doesn’t match

Start with Marilyn birth cert for its info

She is registered as Birks mothers maiden name Birks so mum was single and not married to Harold Walker
