Logged in to Newspapers.com, though without a sub.

Thanks to the very useful "clippings" on Newspapers.com, I can read the article.

It's in the edition of 17 April 1913, and is a notice of Samuel's death, with accompanying story of his life.
It includes this:
"To this union were born four children; two daughters, Alice C and Laura Jane, the latter passed away in infancy; two sons, Arnold H and Albert E."

So no further forward with any dates for Laura Jane - but at least I know what the newspaper article says!

The third daughter, Ila, was born in November 1913.

Does anyone have a sub to Newspapers.com?

I would be very grateful if you can let me know the details of this undated item, please.

Laura Jane
in the U.S., Newspapers.comâ„¢ Obituary Index, 1800s-current
Name Laura Jane [Laura Montgomery]
Gender Female
Newspaper Title Greenleaf Sentinel
Father Samuel Montgomery

I know all about Samuel Montgomery (1867-1913) , his wife Tamer, and their other 4 children, Alice, Albert, Arnold, and Ila - so please don't bother with anything about them.

The newspaper item is the only thing I'm asking about. Thanks!

Laura is a mystery. The above newspaper item is the only mention of her that I can find - and there are no dates.

[EDIT:
Belatedly (silly me) I realised that if I'd clicked on Samuel's name I would have seen dates, etc, as the article was about Samuel.]

Samuel and Tamer married in 1896, and Samuel died in 1913 .
Laura's not with them in 1900 (in Spring Grove, Nebraska) or 1910 (in Greenleaf, Kansas) - nor with widowed Tamer in 1920.

There's a big gap in age between Albert (1901) and Ila (1913), so I imagine Laura fits into that gap.
