That 1881 with the BELL family is a SINGLE man who is an Iron Moulkder.

HENRY was a LABOURER in 1891, and the man recorded as JAMES in 1881 was a Labourer……..the forename is probably just a MISTAKE, which you have to allow for

I did search the GRO for births but I must have missed Albert, so thanks very much for that.
That 1871 or is it 1881 with Henry living with the Bell family could be him. I will just have to check it out a bit more.

greyghost and Erikah. I don't think that the 1881 you have found are the right family. Henry's b 1881 dad was Henry Chorley and Mary Ann Hazell.

I think what I need to do is buy Henry chorley b 1857 and Mary Hazell marriage cert and also need to get William b 1819 and Sarah Hancocks marriage cert to confirm parents names.

I went to the library yesterday and found a few of the family on the 1921 so I will go through my notes and see what information I can get from those.

Yes I did look. Someone gave me this "William and Sarah Hancock wedding 1844, the vol 10 and page 675" but said they haven't seen it. Looks like I am need to order it.
