So not a beginner then :-S

When I first started out and didn’t know how to use various resources I used the information I had been given and tracked them back myself - you can learn a lot that way.

Also, by going over the information one has been given you can either agree or you can spot the errors.

On at least one of your many threads on here, going back many years, you refer to ancestors born in the 16th century - where did you find the info about them? Perhaps you could try the same site(s)??

Not all parish records are available in the same places.

For free sites try www.freereg.org.uk and Family Search.

Try free trials with Ancestry or Find my Past. But remember to cancel on time. Try your local library for free access, usually to Ancestry.

Try local family history societies. Genuki placename can sometimes lead you to the right source - a few actually have lists of either bmd or both.

Visit local records offices.

Try familysearch
https://www.familysearch.org/search/

Or freereg
https://www.freereg.org.uk/

Ancestry and FMP both have such records, but they have to be paid for
