Hi there to all magowans. My husband was magowan at birth. Having made some research into the name he has found there are several different ways to spell magowan, mageown, magown etc and it would appear that they originated from Ballymagown in Ireland. The surname is actually the Irish eviqualent of 'Smith'. |
