I am looking for someone who has proof or perhaps anecdotal evidence of what happened to Samuel Harris born c. 1816 to Romany parents travelling around in Hampshire. Samuel was married to/had children with Mary Ann Gritt from Eling, Southampton, my ancestor Henry Harris born 1844 being one of them. Mary Ann married Joseph Rawlings in approx 1848 so something must have happened to Samuel. No record of death found; does not appear to have been transported. So how did he end his life. Does anyone know? He was a chimney sweep by trade.
