My father, Reginald Frederick Pardy, was the elder son of Fred Pardy (a violinist) and Alice Maud (nee Kirby). I think that she was born in London. Before marriage her job was to touch up black and white photographs. The Kirby family were jewellers. My grandfather, Fred, was the son of the man who set up Pardy and Son (Printers) in the Triangle, Bournemouth in, I believe 1866.
