Hi Carol all you have to do is find a marriage or birth cert & try & get it back to the 1901 census then you can start with your tree, But you will not be able to trace any one if it is after the 1901 census look for whoes father then his father & so on will that help. |

Hi, I have no idea how to start and trace my family history so if anyone can help I would be grateful. My fathers name was Noble Matthews quite unusual name if anyone knows of any connection. He died in 1974 aged 66, all I know is he had a brother called Leonard who I never met and know nothing more about his family. My father married my mother Evelyn Doreen Massam and this was his second marriage I am the youngest of their children and my father was 55 when I was born. Any information of any connection would be gratefully recieved. Carol (Matthews) Duffy |
