I am trying to find any Archers who lived in the Wigtown area of Scotland, particularly, Old Luce/New Luce Parishes. Thomas Archer was a soldier and married to Ellen Fairlie. They would have been born around late 1790s early 1800s, Their son, Samuel was a ploughman, married to Agnes McCulloch who had a son James and daughters Margaret and Agnes. Samuel died on 21/4/1889 at the age of 65. Agnes, wife of Samuel died in 1921 aged 85. Her parents were John McCulloch and Sarah McGuffy. Samuel's daughter Agnes married Alexander Thomson at Castle of Park Old Luce in 1882. Thet were my GGrandparents. |
