Have you tried Liverpool,
most of my Murrays are there and there's lots more. As it was a shipping port. I'm sure I've seen a master mariner.... will keep looking for you

p.s if you come across a john christopher Murray anywhere outside 1901 liverpool will you give me a shout or one that is a military master tailor born circa 1845

I am Looking fo information on John Murray Circa 1850 he was a Master Marriner The names of his children as far as I know so far were Robert Alexander Murray,My Great Grandfather Birth May 1881 Stranraer. His brothers William, John and sister Hannah Murray The last known address I have for his Family is 32 Pollok Street Glasgow in 1902. His mothers name was Hannah Kennedy John and Hannah were married in Stranraer.
