I've just come across your message dated 22 July 2006! and read it fully. The Elizabeth Hannah Banks that was adopted interests me. My g.g.grandfather Robert Banks married Elizabeth Hannah Ho(u)lt in St George's, Hanover Sq. in 1808 and then they disappeared. My question is: Is your Elizabeth Hannah a granddaughter?
I would be interested to hear your story.
