I wonder if anyone could help me break through this brick wall. I am trying to find information regarding the family of William BRIERLY/BRIERLEY. (aka Thomas COLLINS). He was born c1824, in Hollingworth. William, then known as Thomas Collins, was convicted at Salford of a very minor crime and transported to Australia in 1845. His indent papers show his proper name as William Brierly and that he last lived with his uncle, Abraham, at native place, Hollingworth. Hollingworth is now part of greater Manchester, about 6 miles west of Manchester and Salford is about 1 mile slightly NE of Manchester. I will be very grateful for any help. Regards, Ethel
