We are trying to track down a family called Churchley-Sturton ( this is an oral memory passed down thro' the family so the name might not be exact). The link is through Hannah Roper, the niece of my husband, Ray Walker's great grandparents, Fred and Hannah Rose, who brought her up. We understand that Hannah went to Australia with Mr and Mrs Churchley-Sturton as a companion/nurse to MrsC-S who later died. Hannah married Mr C-S and we believe they had 4 sons. One of these sons came back to the UK during the 1st World War, visiting the family in Birmingham. Apparently, he tried to adopt Ray's aunt, Ursula Walker. Any info regarding this would be much appreciated. Frei
