My conection to the DOSAN family of Derbyshire (and connected families) ,are via Mary/Maria Chapman. She was the daughter of Valentine Chapman and Elizabeth Beard,and brother of my 7 xgt grandfather Joseph. Mary/Maria Chapman (christened 11/10/1696 Tideswell Derbyshire) married Adam DOSAN june 1719 Tideswell Derbyshire,they had 3 girls and 4 boys. Adam Dosan christened 29/04/1694 Tideswell Derbyshire,to Isaac Dosan (c1668-1730) and Ann Brookes (c1672-1745).They also had ; Rodger c1696-1744,married Emmet Brammall. Edward c1699. Isaac c1707,married Grace Oldfield. Ann c 1710, married Ralph Ween. Jacob c1713, married Elizabth Ollerenshaw. Any help would be very gratefully received. Many thanks Andy Chapman |
