Hi there, I am searching for anyone with any Information on the name Balchin... My maternal great grandmother was called Emily Balchin... cast out by her family for a non jewish marriage...I gather she was born in London (?)around 1880-1895(?) again vague due to the elders of the family now departed and can no longer fill in information....her grandfather was Alexander Balchin, and I was told as a child from my grandmother (her daughter) that they were jewellers from Camberwell in London... how true this information is I do not know... but hey anything is worth a try to find my ancestors. |

im a balchin they were from kent.redhill,reigate,portsmouth,and southsea but dont think there the same there ar 1000 of us i nerly gave up good luck |
