Hello,From my research I discovered that the name Reppion comes from the name Reppin. Fritz Reppin Married Mary Ann Thornton in 1884. Shortly after this the name was changed as their three children were born as Reppion, the first being Frederick in 1884, Mary , in 1887, and Michael in 1891 approx. six months after his father (Fritz) had died in Rio de Jenero, Brazil. Fritz came from Germany, not France, as many of his decendants believed, see personal certificates, possibly the area of Mechlenburg-Schwerin, Wismar. All the 'Reppions' in England are decendants of Fritz and Mary Reppion.
