WALTER COLEBOURN Im trying to find any info on Walter Colebourn, he was born in Liverpool and either he or a relative was goalkeeper for Liverpool Fc around 1915 - iv been on LFC website but cannot find a player with the surname of Colebourn. he moved south and rumour has it that he used to be a bare knuckle fighter in Southend, Essex for a while either as a job or just for fun - his children Ronald, Doreen, and Reg, there may be one more possibly called Margaret. we think they were born in surrey - Ron went to Dagenham where he married Philomena (possible that her full name was Margaret philomena Harris) aka Phyllis or Phil. she had Irish links. The colebourns also have a link to the Isle of Man. Any info however small would be great. Lois |
