Member Since: July 2006 Posts: 3 Send Message	My research has found the following. The name is from Donegal in Ireland. In Gaelic it is Mc Giolla Cionnaigh, it literally translates as the followers of Saint Cannice.Spelling may not be exact but you get the gist...
