In 1918 my father, John Salter, married Marie Albertine Guilleaume in Aldershot registry office. I believe he met her while fighting on the Somme during WW1. I don't know if she was French or Belgium. She died in 1951 in a mental institution near Canterbury in Kent still married to my father.
