My grand was Joseph Hawkins.He was born in rathmines or rathfarm.Think he could have been a sailor .He went to be come a carmilite brother in Whitefrair street but left when his parents got to old to look after them selves.Married my granny Mary Traynor late in life.They went on to have Pat, Micheal ,Anna(my mom) & Theresa (Tessie)all now decesed one of my mothers cousins got pregrant & wasnt married &she was disoned by her family. my granddad took the baby in.Brendan lee .If that ring a bell please get in touch.My granddad died in May 1953.Dont know if there was any siblings but would like to know.Thanks |
