also told that family name originated from France. My grandparents William John Bason and Eleanor Maud nee Preece moved from Welshpool to Isle of Man and my father William Norman Bason born in IOM 9/1/25. His brother, Frederick Ralph born approx 18 months later, also in Peel, Isle of Man. Any information on Bason family would be welcomed.
