My mother was a Mattholie, Dorothy alice, her father was Harry George Mattholie known to everyone as Mac. He was born in Dickleburgh Norfolk to Harry George Mattholie and Louisa West who were both from Dickleburgh and as far as i know my great grandfathers father came over from italy. My great grandfather as a young man moved down south to Shortlands, Bromley Kent. He and louisa went on to have i beleive twenty one children of whom thirteen survied, Louisa when taken very ill went back to Dickleburgh to die and is buried there i beleive along side one of her sons. Two of her children in there old age moved back to Norfolk i believe it was Amy and leslie, there are still Mattholie's in Bromley my mothers brother David Mattholie and also his son Darren Mattholie. I think the West family is a old Dickleburgh family. I would like to get in touch with anyone who maybe connected. Wendy Colvin [email protected]
