I have a George Reygate who married Hannah Winter in1859. I don't think they had children though as Hannah was 47 on the 1851 census in Banstead. I have them on 1971 census there too. George's father was William and he was a farmer in Banstead |

Valerie C. Grimes My great, great grandfather was George Reigate born Worplesdon Surrey 1836, lived at Guildford, Surrey 1881. Married to Hannah Winter 5/2/1859 at Banstead Surrey. Has anyone any connection with this family please? The curate who made out their marriage certificate wrote Reygate but George could only make a mark, so wouldn't have known the spelling. They lived much of their lives in 2 Markenfield Road Guildford Surrey in the parish of Stoke within. George's father was I believe William Reigate. |
