There is a death for a Neville Gandy, August l993, in Shepway, Kent. His dob was lst July l9l5. Could this be your relative,

A long time since your entry!
I have lots of Gandys in my tree mostly from the Warrington Lancashire (now Cheshire) area. One of the families did travel down south then return to Lancashire in the 1840's/1850's.
