i am jean whelan clayton le moors, lancashire.we have a large family of whelans, grandad dennis whelan married sarah ann berry,8 children, john ,alex, luke, tom, herbert, robert nora, sofia mary.i am trying to find dennis whelan,s family.please get in touch if you can help, 18/01/06 just a note to say a lady got in touch with me a few months ago, could not find any of her gt grandmas relatives, she was called whalen, but as i explained, we started out from ireland as that name and it got changed over the years to whelan, it was the person who did the census who spelt it like it is now, so now she has a new family to add to her tree, was gobsmacked, she is my grandads ,sister s grandaughter , so whelan whalen or whalin ,you might all belong to the same family regards jean
