I have a William Hoare who lived at Prinsted near Emsworth, Hants. This branch of the family were christened, married and buried in the Church at Westbourne. One of my ancestors was Edward Hoare, so the name is in my family. Could there be a connection. My Edward was born in the early 1700s. Kind regards, Norma

My GG Grandfather Edward Clayton Hoare was born in 1846, presumably in England, but joined the US Navy in 1863, and was given land in America after the American /Civil war He was married to Matilda Hunt, and they had at least one daughter, my Great Grandmother Annie Elizabeth Hoare. She was born in Portsmouth England on 9th April 1868. Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
