The 'GORMAN' Surname Gorman - numerous in all areas of Ireland, least in Munster (Ireland). MacGorman - fairly rare. O'Gorman - very numerous, predominant in South East & Munster. A sept of Laois, they were driven out during the Invasion and settled in Monaghan & Clare. Gorm = blue, dark.
