Alison I have just joined the site. Your Isabella Leece maybe the daughter of Harry Irving Leece my great grandfather who lived in Bouth for a time. He was illigitimate but was the son of Elizabeth Leece whose father was John Leece a shoemaker of Grizebeck (born 1808). Certainly the family appera in the 1901 census and the 1891 census. No Manx link though. Harry Irving did marry a Margartet Jane Stranix also illigitimate whose mother was Irish. |
