Looking for any Crosses in and around Buckingham in the 19th century, and any information about my ggg grandad William Cross, born Buckingham around 1788 and a soldier in the Bucks Militia.

Trawling through old messages , my family originates from Bucks , my gt.gt.grandad was William Cross b.1813 in the village of Steeple Claydon , the son of Richard b.Marsh Gibbon 1783 & Ann (nee Steward) . The Cross's were still in Bucks , around 1900 when my family moved to Yorkshire . My research has come to a blank with Richard in 1783 . Might there be a link somewhere ?
