Hi Nancy McIvor my name is Raymond Mark McIvor I am also trying to find long lost relatives. My dads name was Alexander Edward McIvor afraid he died back in 1993 I have been trying to trace some of his brothers or sisters I really don't know how many their were but dad always said he was from a big family. I met one uncle many years ago I was still in short trousers then I am now 55 he lived in Cross in Hand West Sussex, I believe he used to make charcoal in them days. I also think he is now deceased I believe his name was Sinclair Hallam McIvor. I put this name up on the trying to find and got my dads date of death and Sinclairs date of death they could not come up with either of their birth dates. My dad was born 26 sep 1924 his brother Sinclair was born 11 jan 1915 these are dates I have found on various sites I hope they are accurate. I have got my fathers birth certificate but it was a sent for copy so he could get divorced from my mum back in 1963 on the certificate he was born Alexander Edward Stuart. When he joined the Royal navy 1943 he joined as Alexander Edward McIvor also when he married mum 1951 he married as a McIvor. Well Nancy you probably think I am rambling on a bit so I will end now and I hope to hear from you with good news. Raymond.
