I am trying to find some info on my gt gt grandfather and family...His name was John Wilkinson...dob unknown..died 1858 married Maria louisa Wilkinson nee Roberts Maria later married a George Brotherton after Johns death...John was a coustoms and excise man they lived around the Lancashire and Cheshire areas we know John and Maria are Buried in Grave #3163 at Burnley Cemetery...7 children as we know......in no particular order... Henry Robert Wilkinson..methodist minister born 1854 at Hollinsgreen died in New Zealand..Isabella L wilkinson born approx 1850 in Middlewich Cheshire....Mary Ann Wilkinson..born approx 1852 in Rixton Lancashire Mary married a Mathew Lean who was born in Cornwall...in 1871 they had 2 kids ..Emma L aged 2....and Mathew H..aged 1both kids were born in Burnley ...other children to john and maria that we dont know much about....Eliza Emily wilkinson [..Lizzie]....married a Ted Proctor ..Fred Wilkinson..Charles Wilkinson...George Wilkinson..we are a bit unsure about the last few....any info people may have would be extremly helpful...we have came to a complete stop at John Wilkinson....cant find anything out about him and cant go back any further...living in New Zealand dosent help....how I envy all you in england with all the info on your doorstep. many Thanks Steve Wilkinson Westport New Zealand email [email protected] |
