hi steven yes iv been told its dutch or germen my nam,e is christopher wilderspin im trying to find any relations to me in live in the chester area but my father was from croydon and my grandfather was from the same area but i never knew him dont know if he still alive and i do have a half brother down south but again dont know his name or age etc dont know if you can help

I understand the name is Dutch and means 'Wild Spider'! I'm from one of the pockets of Wilderspins in Cambridgeshire. Our view is that the family came over from Holland to lend expertise in the draining of the fens in the 1700's. Any other views out there? Steven Wilderspin
