I am just starting out and wish any information in connection with my Grandfathers family SAMUEL HENRY SHEARER, brother of THOMSON, ALEC & JIMMY known to originate from Milngavie and father known to be a crime reporter for a Glasgow newspaper - keen to trace his parents routes as they were all great men! and I am sure there are some great women to know about!

I have shearers in my family(mums side)I am in the middle of researching my own family and it would be no bother to look out a few things for you. If you didnt mind giving me the names of the people your looking for and if you know it the dates of birth(even approximate)and place of birth I will help with whatever I can

Hi - I'm looking for Shearer's too, born in West Ham London, living in Kent & Essex - 1880 to current.

Names of Alfred & Edith (nee Nottage), Charles, Rose, Violet (Mickey), leonard, Anthony (Ted), Eddie, Stan & Margaret (Peggy).

Are any of these names familiar? It would be great to have anyone interested in the same family!
