Hello Jenny,
I have indeed been in contact with Ian Preece about research into my father's family which to date has been to date a complete brickwall.I have assumed he was born in Herefordshire 1889/1891 as I remember visiting the city, Stretton Swgas and Wellington in the 1930's.to visit his relatives. My problem is that his given age on his marriage and death certs.indicate a variation of 2 years in his possible birth year. His name is William Preece as is his father's name on his marriage cert.I have many possibilities but cannot validate any.I noticed your reference to ancestors in Hereford and wondered if any are linked to the Stretton Swgas and/or Wellington areas?
Regards, Wyndham Preece.

To all Preece members Do you all know about the Preece family name website? If you go into Google and do a search for the name Preece the website will come up as a single surname website. It has been set up over quite a few years by Ian Preece who has helped me immensely unravel quite a few mysteries regarding my ancestors in Hereford. It really is an excellent site and Ian is extremely helpful. Jenny
