How many of you share a family legend of being descended (illegitimately of course) from The Old Fox, Simon Fraser, Lord Lovatt or his son? I have an ancestor Alexander Simon Fraser, born about 1750 somewhere in Scotland who served in the 38th Foot, 1st Staffordshire, and 4th Royal veterans, reputed to be such an offspring. He married twice, firstmarriage details unknown. Second to Rebecca Andrews in Bury St Edmunds in 1814. Through this site I have traced other descendents through different branches with the same legend. Are there any more of you out there? Descendents include Cobb, Yoldon, Sinclair, Bennett.

Hi Angela,

I saw your post on genes reunited regarding Alexander Simon Fraser. I believe I am descended from him through his daughter, Louisa Fraser who married Francis Stokes. If you get this email, I would love to connect with you! Thank you.

Hi Andy

Angela posted this thread in 2003 and is no longer a member so is unlikely to see your post. GenesReunited asks that you do not post email addresses on threads as it is against their terms and conditions.

You could try clicking on Angela's name and sending a private message to her through Genes but she will only get this if she still has the same email address that she had in 2003 which is unlikely.

Angela only posted once and it's 14 years ago so it's highly unlikely she is a member now

You can try and make contact by clicking on her name and sending a message

In the meantime you should remove your own email address as it's against T&C,s of the site to post personal info like email address etc

Thanks Kath and Shirley. I'm going to try and remove me email address and will take your suggestions on how to possibly send a private message to Angela.
