	There were Ruddys in Cork City in Turners Cross back in the 1950s. The young man went to Colaiste Criost Ri and his sister to South Presentation Convent. These may give you a lead. For the origin of the name I would be more inclined to check McLysaght's Irish Family names. Finbar
