Sorry to disappoint! But Reid just means red (hair).

The Robertson Clan is the modern title for the Clan Donnaichaidh. The Clan takes its name from the son of Duncan of Dule, namely Duncan MacDonnaichaidh. (Pronounced Don-ach-ay.)
