please can someone help me? Im Interested if anyone has any relation what so ever with the surname Mott, its a rare one and cant trace any further back than my dad!!! we know his dad was from london and that's it, he had two children by a woman called olive dunn, two boys one my dad-michael mott, and my uncle john mott.

my ancestors on my mothers side were called Mott Rose Mott married my grandfather she originated from Surrey but then ended up liveng in south Londan -she did have several siblings so if you find out your grandparents names from parents birth certs we can see if there is any connection - i also am fairly new to all this searching and had little info to start with so dont desspair

Hi Gemma,
I'm researching a Thomas Mott born croyden,Surrey 1856c he married a Harriet Rowan 1878 Hull she was my 2xgreatgrandfathers sister,he was a fisherman,his parents were James and Mary Mott his father was a Bricklayer but I cant find them after the 1861 census so possibly they died.

Hello Gemma,
My Extended family contains Mott's,my GGGrandfather married his 2nd wife,her name was Charlotte Plaister,her brothers daughter,Emily Plaister married Frank Mott from London in or around 1904,their Descendants now live in Canada.
