Hi, I'm tryig to bottom an age old rumour in my family, that we are in some way related to the famous poet and playwrite Robert Browning born London 1812 My family have been in Nottingham since about 1850, but prior to that i think there are London links. My G G Grandad was George Browning, born around 1857. He went on to marry Eliza born around 1865 and have several children John, Annie, Fred, May and William. I'd be most interested if anybody out there has any information that may help. Even if it is proof that i'm not related to the poet, i would still love to trace my line back as far as i can Thanks! |
