I am trying to locate the descendants of my relatives Alexander Simpson and Marion (Mary) Marshall, both born in Scotland. Their sons were: John Simpson, born c.1848 Shotts, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Robert Simpson, born c.1862 Northumberland, England. became a joiner. Joseph Simpson, born c.1864 Northumberland, England. Became an engine driver. David Simpson, born c.1870, Northumberland, England. Also descendants of their daughters: Margaret Simpson, born c.1847 Lanarkshire, Scotland, who married David Hodgson and lived in Northumberland. Mary Simpson, born c.1852 in Scotland, who married Adam Pow, a mine manager, and went to USA. Elizabeth Simpson, born 1856 Gateshead, Durham, who married James Thompson and lived in Northumberland. Barbara Simpson, born 1859 Longbenton, Northumberland, who married Robert Wight, a school master. I have only just discovered this family after a 'brick wall' lasting many years.
