Hi I am trying to find any info on my grandfathers family. My grandad was George Astley Lane. He was born in Rhodesia in September 1902.He was sent to live with an aunt in Belgium at the age of two. Like his father he was in the British army, until he transfered to the South African Army in 1938. He had a son named George Lane who apparently moved to Canada, and if still alive is still there. It is this part of the family in Canada that I wish to know more about. George snr also had two daughters named Blanche and Gwendolene. From his second wife he had two sons , Ian and Robert. Any news on the Canadian George Lane will help Thanks |
