FAVERSHAM Holmes I am trying to make contact with the Holmes's who lived in Faversham in the early 1800s. ROBERT HOLMES was born in Nov 1804 at Faversham and married Jane Smith in 1829. He was a dredger and a sailor. His son WALTER ROBERT HOLMES was born in May 1829 in Faversham and married Ellen (Eleanor) Eden at Bristol in May 1852. In 1856 Ellen migrated to Australia and with her husband Walter started up my HOLMES branch in Australia. Would dearly love to make a connection as all but 2 of their descendants have been located and recorded here in Australia. Paul Holmes 1 Berry Court Horsham, Victoria 3400 |
