I am trying to find out about my grandfather Arthur Henry Crabbe who i think was born in Devonport ,Plymouth ,area his father was a William Henry Crabbe who was in the police force in the Plymouth area.My grandfather had a younger brother Roy,he also had a sister . My grandfather was private school educated and married my grandmother Gwendoline McHenry in 1935 he was in the Royal Navy and was a submariner he had 2 children with my grandmother Margaret Evelyn and Arthur he also has 7 grandchildren and quite a few great grandchildren.If any one knows of the family please get in touch really would like to know where my grandfather or any of his family are i live in the Portsmouth area . Athur Crabbe was a cook on the mine carier Etherington and then on the Alderney he left the navy 1952 approx |
