Hi, I am trying to trace my nan's side of the family!! Charles Purchase born 1884 Hardington Mandeville Somerset and his sister Rose Purchase born 1885 same place. Both emigrated to Canada. Charles married a sister, ( Olivia Elizabeth Lunt) 1909 and Rose, a brother, (Albert George Lunt) 1913 from the same family. I have an old postcard of a marching band Sulphide Brass Band, so assume that they settled there!! I have some names on the back of a postcard Howard, Ronnie,Fred and Clifford, so guess that they are related somehow. My nan died some years ago so having to rely on guesswork mainly. John Ashdown |
