Trying to find Armstrong

This is a long shot and a bit vague. Does anyone have a relative who lived or worked on the ships in Southampton 1960's who may have got a girl pregnant and then died, or ran off leaving the woman pregnant? The lady was Florence Rainford Oslo Towers. She was a stewardess on the ships one being the Windsor Castle. She changed her name by deed poll before having her son to Armstrong. She died in 1969 and her son was placed with a foster family before she died and they then went on to adopt him. Ring any bells? |
