I am trying to trace the descendants of Abraham Tattersall a farmer of Tonge End, Whitworth Near Rochdale in Lancashire. He married Mary Hill who died in 1679. Birth, marriage and death dates of Abraham not known. Abraham and Mary had two children (perhaps more). The first is James Tattersall b Tonge End Rochdale 1639 d Rochdale 1676. James married Elizabeth Clegg in Rochdale 7 Feb 1664. I hope to find descendants of this family, and also dates for Abraham and his parents. The second known child of Abraham and Mary is John b Tonge End, Rochdale 29 Aug 1641; he may have become a C of E priest in East Sussex. Any information very much appreciated. David W Tattersall. |
