Mary Irene Norton (1918) I'm trying to find my biological grandmother Mary Irene Norton born in Shropshire in 1918. Her mother was Louisa May Norton (nee Winnall). Her father was George Norton. Mary Irene married Stanley Chapple in Devon in 1937. This marriage produced a son (my father). Mary Irene divorced Stanley and married her second husband Leslie Hill in Staffordshire. In 1952, Mary Irene, her son and second husband moved to Australia. I have recently discovered that Mary Irene is my biological grandmother. She became estranged from my father in the late 1950's. My father is deceased. I cannot trace my grandmother's whereabouts or fate after 1962 in Melbourne, Australia. She was last known as Mary Irene Hill in Melbourne, Australia. She was also known as Irene and Molly. Does anyone have any links or information?. Warren |
