Member Since: May 2007 Posts: 1 Send Message	I am trying to find anything about ROBERT BENNETT born, c1822 who came to Australia in 1842 . He was born in Ireland, was a stonemason and built the Globe Hotel on the Cnr of Swanston & Ltle Bourke Sts. which was opened in April 1848. He became Lord Mayor of Melbourne 1861-1862. Then went to Swan Hill (The Wimmera). I wish to know his wifes name, children etc. He died in Northcote 18/1/1891 at the age of 69. Anyone who can help with this would be appreciated. Caryl
